The Brief

Campbell Johnston Clark (CJC) are a relationship focused, international law firm specialising in shipping and international trade. Following a period of sizeable growth they were in search for a new, flagship workplace that would future proof them as their team continues to build.

what we did

Our early engagement with the project team at CJC allowed us to assist them with workplace consultancy, creating a series of test fits for potential locations. An opportunity arose for CJC to expand their presence at their current location within a period property in Aldgate. Taking on additional space across three floors.

Our design team developed a scheme for a refurbishment in occupation to transform the existing space and tie in the new areas. The flexible solution includes project tables, study booths, collaboration poseur tables, meeting rooms, a legal library, tea points and a gym.

The lower ground floor has been transformed into a modern breakout with a central bar area, soft seating and feature lighting. It is designed to be a flexible space for entertaining clients as well as being a place for the team to recharge.
The aesthetic gives the feel of a luxury, boutique lounge with rich tones, textured wall coverings and feature lighting that peaks through wooden slated ceilings. The premium furniture finishes the space, creating inspiring spaces for the team to collaborate and focus.

the results

Working closely with the tenant and landlord team we managed a multi-phase construction schedule to ensure minimal disruption to the team as they continued to work from the space.
CJC’s workplace has become an inspiring and motivating place for the team to work from. Existing workspaces have been rejuvenated and the new section of the workplace have been transformed.
