The Brief

Birketts is a growing, full service, UK top 50 law firm. Their portfolio has been expanding across the South West and with this growth, they needed a permanent workplace in this region. Birketts selected the EQ Building to be their seventh UK workplace, right in the centre of Bristol. Aligning to their ESG strategy this building is BREEAM outstanding, has an EPC rating of A and has committed to deliver Net Zero Carbon (NZC). Their brief was to create an exceptional, client focused space that is warm and inviting whilst enabling their team to work effectively and efficiently.

What We Did

Our designer used biophilia, including natural textures, wood flooring and planting to bring the outside into this stunning workplace. This creates a sense of wellbeing throughout the space and is proven to improve cognitive function and the physical health of the workforce.

The bespoke reception area, complete with client lounge and refreshment station, creates a warm welcome on arrival. Several client-facing meeting rooms wrap around the entrance space giving a seamless experience for Birketts’ visitors. These meeting rooms are fitted to the highest standards with careful acoustic treatment, top of the line technology and beautiful, high-end furniture and finishes.

Collaboration and flexible ways of working are supported in the main open plan area with team booths, individual focus pods and group meeting rooms. The breakout area is large enough to support a growing team, providing respite throughout the working day.

The Results

The Birketts team are thrilled with the outcome of this project and love how the space enables them to excite their clients and care for their own team at the same time. It’s helping to attract top talent and retain valued members of the team.

Project complete!

ARA Venn, a specialist investment management firm focused on European residential strategies, needed to create a new workplace that would sustain their growing business for the coming decade. They were looking for a solution that would maximise the floorplan of their 4,500 sq ft space in the heart of Soho, with an accelerated timeline. Key to the brief was developing a flexible space to support the team with a large breakout area for them to recharge.

Clerkenwell Design Week did not disappoint. Our design team took to the streets of Clerkenwell to catch up with our wonderful furniture, finishes and flooring suppliers. On top of this, they made the most of the experience by attending thought leadership seminars on demystifying sustainability, colour and behaviour, artificial intelligence in architecture and inclusive design.

Re-introducing Blue Jelly.

Our brand has been evolving and developing for 21 years. But, we knew our look needed to be refreshed. It needed to represent who we are as a business and to celebrate our ambition and passion for our future.

Our new logo is a visual representation of who we are. It’s classic yet bold. Timeless and elegant. Custom made and skillfully designed. It symbolises our two greatest assets coming together: Blue – our process and Jelly – our people. It’s designed with our core values in mind, it’s a powerful symbol of who we are.

Last week our team collected mince pies, Christmas puddings, selection boxes, crackers, boxes of chocolate and stuffing & gravy for @windsorfoodshare to give out this Christmas. Well done team Blue Jelly!

This is our recently completed project to build a 6,000 Sqft flagship office for a Marlow based, global audio and sound experience company.

The brief was to create a modern, flexible workplace for their team whilst providing unique, top-of-the-line customer experience spaces for product demonstrations. Our team created bespoke joinery solutions to enable interchangeable product placement to suit differing customer needs.

Introducing @energyaspects at @cargo.london, Canary Wharf. Ben Lark, Senior Designer has created a space that flows with curved ceiling lighting, biophilic design, clean lines, premium furniture and subtle, brand-led wall art. Working alongside the team at @coreprojectservices on this project was delightful, as always.

Congratulations to the Blue Jelly team for cycling 700km in 24 hours to raise vital funds for @oceanconservationtrust. The aim was to cycle the distance Eton to Epernay, 544km. We completed this distance by 6am and decided to push onward and see how far we could go. This year we aim to raise £20,000 for Ocean Conservation Trust.

An inspirational design that creates a luxury, members club look and encourages collaboration. Alliots’ new office is set within a beautiful building in the heart of Covent Garden. High-quality fabrics, curved lines and beautiful lighting pieces frame the distinctive, open plan spaces.

Our two year partnership with @oceanconservationtrust will help protect and revitalise the natural habitats of our Oceans. We’ll be raising funds for the Blue Meadows initiative which is actively restoring and protecting the oxygen producing seagrass fields in our Oceans. #ThinkOcean #ESG #OceanConservationTrust
