EACTS New HQ and Training Suite

After a two year search and acquisition, EACTS managed to secure the freehold acquisition of Madeira House, a 5,000 square foot building in the middle of the 'Conservation Quarter' in Windsor.

The European Association for Cardio-Thoracic Surgery needed the new workplace to be both functioning HQ and, more demandingly, a hub for meetings and a Training Academy for all its members throughout Europe.

Madeira House, being an 80s development, needed a thorough refurbishment to create a state of the art training facility and a thorough reconfiguration and enhancement of common areas.

A particular area of note was the first floor area, providing a stunning boardroom with a sliding/folding glass partition which could open to the breakout and coffee area for large scale functions.

Paul Cogdell

Paul Cogdell expands the 'Blue' team.

Our newest member of the Blue Jelly team, Paul Cogdell, joined us in August as our Senior Project Co-ordinator.

Already he has specified, costed and co-ordinated over £3mn worth of fit-out or refurbishment projects. With over 25 years experience in the industry he has brought a big 'safe pair of hands' to our clients, dealing with a complex list of building consents and a multi phase refurbishment in occupation.

Although Paul works very much at the creative 'Jelly' end of the process he brings a real drive to process and risk management throughout the project, so he greatly adds to the 'Blue' element.

Paul's next (mad) charity fitness ride

Following relatively 'easy' 300 and 400 mile bike rides to raise money for Help For Heroes, 2012 is the big one.

To coincide with Blue Jelly's 10 year anniversary , Paul will be doing the infamous C2C ride from the Atlantic to the Mediterranean in France. Just 700 km across the Pyrenees in five days. Something about 11 mountains and 4 Tour de France stages will make it interesting.

This year it’s to raise money for our local Children’s Hospice in Windsor.

Why not join the 'Recovery' with Blue Jelly

They say the recovery has started!
Our clients have said they are either experiencing it or readying for it. We’ve been busy providing new space plans, refurbishment plans and in some instances complete relocation plans. All led by a need to stimulate clients and staff and importantly, ensure the workplace relates to new structures and staff levels.

Its interesting times, and in some minds, exciting times.

A need to develop the workplace and take advantage of either current landlords desire for lease extensions or the availability of Grade A new buildings or flexible terms.

To give our clients a view of how workplace designs are changing, and how tenants are capitalising on the property market we have developed a new seminar/presentation. Aimed at generating ideas and giving real knowledge of what is possible to change in the workplace, it’s proving popular with management and property teams.

Please contact us to arrange for the presentation to come to you and your colleagues, or come to one of the two seminars arranged in interesting venues.
